The Quadrille is the definitive folk dance of the Virgin Islands.  The dancers traditionally wear clothing using madras material.  This piece is part of the collection PEOPLE DEM which will be opening on Jan. 21, 2012 on the island of St. Croix at Design Works Gallery.  You may contact the gallery for more information about this piece and the exhibit.
